Current position

Associate researcher. Department of Clinical Sciences, Diabetes and cardiovascular disease - genetic epidemiology, Lund University, November 2012 - present.

Research interest

Nutritional epidemiology, type 2 diabetes, folate, macronutrients, gene diet interactions, diet assessment methodology.

Ongoing projects

Examination of associations between dietary intakes and development of type 2 diabetes, as well as interactions between diet and genetic variation, in the Malmö Diet and cancer cohort.

Data driven food patterns and cardiometabolic disease.
Interactions between a genetic risk score for type 2 diabetes and dietary intakes on incident type 2 diabetes.
Different types of carbohydrates and their food sources in relation to incident type 2 diabetes.
Genetic risk for type 2 diabetes and dietary intakes of meat and fiber rich foods, as well as their interactions, in relation to colorectal cancer.
Interactions between plasma levels of satiety hormones an dietary intakes and risk of type 2 diabetes.

Dietry data collection in the Malmö Offspring study

Dietery intakes in relation to microbiota composition.
